While growing up in St. Ansgar, IA I developed a passion for sports at a young age. Following high school, I attended the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), where I received my B.A. in Accounting while also playing tight end for the Panthers. After being selected in the 2002 NFL Draft, I spent four years with the Seattle Seahawks, which included the team’s first trip to the Super Bowl, followed by one year with the Dallas Cowboys.
click the following article After retiring from the NFL in 2007, my wife and I moved back to Cedar Falls, where I soon began my career in the financial services industry, and became a partner in Financial Designs in 2013. As a big picture thinker, helping our individual and business clients find investment and insurance strategies that meet their needs is what I do best.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, coaching our two daughters’ youth sports teams, and cheering for the Panthers and Cubs. learn more here

http://crawfishking.com/?map10 Originally from Marshalltown in central Iowa, I was blessed with an amazing childhood filled with swimming, soccer, riding bikes and exploring the great outdoors with the best family and friends by my side. At an early age my parents instilled the value of hard work and the idea that we should waste nothing – not time, not money and certainly not opportunity.
click I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Sociology and have called the Cedar Valley my home for the last 20 plus years. My husband and 2 daughters are the loves of my life. Our family time is filled with craft projects, music, and biking and running on the trails.
click here Over 15 years in financial services has provided me with extensive experience, but it is the partnerships I have built with clients that is far and away the reason why I do what I do.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with individuals and employers to gain an understanding of their unique goals and needs. I love helping clients in working toward the realization of their goals.

My early childhood was spent in Clinton, IA where I grew up enjoying all of the things that come with living near the Mississippi River. When I was in junior high, my father’s job took us east to Maryland, where I was active in debate and various service organizations. Following high school, I studied at York College of Pennsylvania before returning to Clinton, IA in the early 1990’s to care for my grandmother. The years I spent back in Clinton were a precious time which I was able to devote to a family member very dear to me. Always a multi-tasker, I began a career in life insurance, managing my own book of business, while attending Clinton Community College and receiving my Associates Degree of Arts. In 1997 I began my studies at the University of Northern Iowa where I discovered my passion for the world of Accounting and Finance, graduating in 2002 with a BA in Accounting.
Together with my wife Melanie and our son Carson, we have built a busy and fulfilling life in the Cedar Valley. Most nights and weekends you’ll find us attending sporting events, musical performances, and church activities, as well as enjoying time with our family and friends.
Being an advisor allows me to draw upon my knowledge and experience to help my clients and friends work towards their financial goals and life dreams.

A native Iowan, I grew up in Wellsburg and attended Iowa State University where I majored in Consumer Science Education and Communications. After 3 intensive years of study, I graduated from ISU in 1978 and married my high school sweetheart, Glenn. Shell Rock was our first home, but for the last 36 years the community of Waverly has been our home.
My family is the center of everything I do. Glenn and I are blessed to have 3 wonderful sons who have given us the greatest joys of our lives – our grandchildren. I enjoy being an active member of our church, having spent many years singing in the choir, working with the youth group and serving as a chair on numerous councils and committees. I currently serve on the board at Centennial Oaks where I try to golf as often as possible. I love walking, boating, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
After spending 5 years teaching, I ventured into the world of financial services in 1983 where I began as a member of the underwriting team for Lutheran Mutual (which later became CUNA Mutual). In 1986 I branched off into pension marketing and consultation before moving into client services in 1991 where I developed a passion for helping people with living benefits.
Together with Chuck Brittain, we officially started Financial Designs in 1996, based on the belief that being independent of any carrier or company meant that we would have the ability to find products and solutions that truly fit our client’s needs. I am devoted to helping our clients understanding that taking action today, no matter how small, will help in creating a more secure future. The customer centric culture we created over 2 decades ago is still at the center of everything we do.

I grew up on a farm near the small Iowa town of Earlham. Of course 4-H and FFA involvement was a big part of my life, and football, baseball, basketball and track consumed my days. After high school I attended DMACC on the Boone campus to further my baseball career. I also attended the University of Northern Iowa, graduating in 1978 with a BA in Education. Following graduation, I started a nutrition consulting business, working primarily with dairy farmers before moving into the financial world in 1983.
I’ve been blessed to share my life with my beautiful wife, Candi. She is, and always will be the love of my life. We have 3 amazing children who have grown up to be very good and productive citizens, active in church and their chosen careers. I have also been blessed with the title of Grandpa. Our grandchildren bring so much joy and love to our lives, I love every minute I can spend with them.
I am an active member of the Waverly Kiwanis’, Waverly Leisure services commission and the National Federation Interscholastic Sports Officials and am currently the Supervisor of Officials for Iowa Conference Men’s Basketball. I’ve spent the last 38 years very actively involved in officiating Iowa high school football, baseball and basketball; having officiated over 2,500 games. In 2003 I was honored to be inducted into the Iowa High School Officiating Hall of Fame.
Outstanding service combined with our access to a wide network of carriers has allowed Financial Designs to keep our focus on the goals of our clients. I consider it a privilege to work with a great group of customers.

Northeast Iowa has always been my stomping ground, having grown up in the Clermont area and moving to Waverly in 1991. Anytime the weather is nice, you can find me camping, fishing, boating or hiking (you might call me “outdoorsy”). But, no matter what I’m doing, spending time with my family is my favorite.
I’m married to my wonderful husband, Bill, and I am the mother of 2 sons who make me proud every single day. I am also the grandmother of the 3 most amazing grandkids who bring so much excitement and love to my life.
As an original member of the Financial Designs team, I have been able to spend my days working with and building relationships with our clients, who also happen to be some pretty great people.
I am passionate about helping people, and as a cancer survivor, I truly understand how quickly life can change and just how much of an impact the right insurance benefits can have on making a really tough time just a little less tough.

Growing up on a farm outside of New Hampton, I spent a majority of my time outdoors. These days you will still find me enjoying my days outside either gardening, camping, or golfing. Nothing makes me happier than doing these things with my family. After marrying my husband, Jeff, in 2015, we welcomed our first baby in November of 2016. Motherhood has definitely been one of my favorite adventures yet!
I attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a BA in Psychology in 2008. I have worked in financial services since 2009 with a strong background in compliance. I have an eye for details – getting it right the first time is the only option for me.
